Ben Whittaker Lacks Substance For Bivol, Warren Argues

His victory over Conor Wallace leaves Matchroom with an awkward choice. Pursuing Bivol now risks exposing Whittaker before he can correct his weaknesses. Taking a demanding preparation fight risks losing the opportunity through defeat.

“He runs out of gas. He hasn’t got a great engine,” Warren said to Playbook Boxing . Asked about facing Bivol, he added: “Anyone who makes that fight should be reported to the NSPCC.”

“Matchroom done a good job in promoting him. He got everybody talking about him, but you’ve got to have some substance then. And the substance at the end of the day just isn’t there.”
