Ticket prices for Alex Ovechkin's planned retirement tour soar for final 2026-2027 Capitals regular season games

In it, future Hall of Fame forward Alex Ovechkin talks to his team and tells them he plans to retire after the 2026-2027 NHL season.

If Ovechkin sticks to that plan, his final regular-season home game will be on April 4 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. His final regular-season game overall will be on the road against the Philadelphia Flyers on April 10.

After the announcement, get-in ticket prices for those games soared and will likely keep rising as the season goes on, with fans anticipating the Great 8 hanging up his skates, especially if Washington finds itself outside of the 2027 NHL playoff picture.
