Twitter Gold: Joker Gets A Career Highlight Pass

The primary reason they are compared is because both have phenomenal vision and passing skills. Bird had an ability to pass to people when his back was turned. Somehow, he always knew where everyone was on the court at all times.

Jokic has some of that too, as we see here: He's in the corner near the bench, half-turned, when he whips a behind-the-back pass through the defense to former UNC player Cameron Johnson, who is alone deep in the opposite corner. Caught completely off-guard: Lauri Markkanen, Jusuf Nurkic, and Svi Mykhailiuk.

Because to move a ball that far, that fast, behind your back, takes a lot more strength than Bird had. But if you'd told Bird that, the basketball sociopath would have just told you that he didn't need to do that because he had plenty of other options. Then he would have told you what he was going to do to you, and then done it, and taunted you afterwards because you couldn't even stop what you knew was coming.
