Braves vs. Dodgers live updates, starting pitchers, where to watch: Tarik Skubal opens LA's three-peat attempt in NLDS Game 1

The Dodgers will open their playoff campaign by starting trade deadline acquisition Tarik Skubal on the mound , while the Braves will have a bullpen game after getting taken to three games by the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Braves and Phillies played the only competitive games of the wild-card round, but it was all Braves in Game 3 . Atlanta used six different pitchers while riding home runs from Michael Harris II, Ozzie Albies and Matt Olson to victory.

Los Angeles, meanwhile, is coming off a 100-win regular season that was a bumpy road at times , but they remain the consensus World Series favorite. They do have one notable question mark, though, as Shohei Ohtani spent half of September on the injured list and is still managing multiple issues, by his own account .
