But there's an important distinction to make when evaluating an NFL offseason: judging a decision is not the same as judging its result.

A good decision can produce a bad outcome. A questionable decision can work out. A general manager's job isn't to predict the future. It's to make the best decision possible with the information available at the time, then adjust when new information arrives.
