Predators Reassign Ryan Ufko to Milwaukee

"I thought his play tapered a little bit," Predators head coach Andrew Brunette told Brooks Bratten, the Preds' team reporter. "We're hoping for a little better effort last night from him, and he got overwhelmed a little bit in that hockey game. And I think we've got some things to figure out on the backend, and we don't really want him sitting out. We want him playing."

Ufko, a 23-year-old defenseman out of Smithtown, New York, was Nashville's 115th overall pick at the 2021 NHL Draft. He's currently starting his third fully professional season, and although he's made appearances at the NHL level sporadically, he's been a regular in Milwaukee for the past two seasons.

The Admirals are set to start their season tomorrow night as they visit the Rockford IceHogs.
