Week 4 NFL odds, picks, predictions: Best bets for the weekend's games

Fiddle : This is a player prop bet that pushes together both a market read and a matchup angle. I love when these two combine for something actionable, so this pattern can be replicated in other markets. My first step was seeing that the Josh Downs receiving yards prop number has increased across the market.

Some of the opening lines at 63.5 have worked their way up 65.5. A market consensus price, removing the house vig, would put this at 64.5 (+102) to the over. At BetMGM, the over 60.5 priced at -115 has a 1.5% edge. Once I can establish market direction and a number that already is a better price than a de-vigged consensus, I check in on the matchup specifics to feel confident the line won't crash back the other way. In this case, the Washington defense allows the second-most passing yards.
