With that in mind, the expectation is that David Stearns and the front office will be selectively aggressive this winter via free agency while attempting to fix the trouble spots that helped do the Mets in the last two years.
The trade market could also be fertile ground for New York, with their farm system recently fortified following their trade deadline sell-off.
