Cody Bellinger caught first pitch from his dad then sent Yankees to ALDS

Three hours before David Bednar struck out Caleb Durbin to end the series, Cody's father, Clay, threw out the ceremonial first pitch to his son before Game 2. The elder Bellinger played for the Yankees from 1999 to 2001 and was part of two World Championship teams.

"I definitely appreciate it. I'm able to appreciate it in the moment," Bellinger said. "That was a cool moment, just a great game. Happy I was able to contribute, and we've got a lot more work to do. So obviously enjoy the moment, understand how cool it is, but keep on going."

After grounding out in his first two at-bats, Bellinger singled in the fifth to score Austin Wells , extending New York's lead to 2-0.
