Suns forward Dillon Brooks charged with misdemeanor DUI after March arrest

Brooks was arrested early on March 6 due to a suspected DUI. Body camera footage obtained by TMZ showed a police officer saying that Brooks' car smelled like marijuana during the traffic stop.

The arrest occurred hours after a Suns home loss, though Brooks did not play during that contest due to a broken hand.

Brooks is facing a Class 1 misdemeanor charge in the incident. He is set to be arraigned on Oct. 28. The 30-year-old also has a separate misdemeanor reckless driving and speeding case pending. He is due in court next for that January incident on Nov. 9.
