Former Red Wings Standout Prospect Gets NHL Opportunity With Eastern Conference Rival

For Detroit Red Wings fans, the matchup will also provide an opportunity to watch a former prospect begin a new chapter in his career.

Amadeus Lombardi, a fourth-round pick by the Red Wings in 2022, was traded to New Jersey during the offseason in exchange for a fourth-round selection, which Detroit later used to draft Canadian center Adam Levac.

The move came as a surprise to many Red Wings fans, particularly given Lombardi's quiet emergence as one of the organization's more intriguing prospects.
