Joey Ortiz believes he’s healthy enough to play in Milwaukee’s NLDS opener, but the Brewers are remaining careful with the 28-year-old infielder who underwent an MRI on his right knee.

Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy limited Ortiz's participation in a workout as the Brewers prepare to face the winner of the NL Wild Card Series between the Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres . Ortiz left Milwaukee's victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in the eighth inning and didn't play in the Brewers' final two regular-season games.
"His knee, his abdomen, there's still concern," Murphy said. "He won't tell you about it."
Murphy had indicated that Ortiz's MRI results turned out well. Ortiz hurt his right knee while trying to make a play on a foul ball in Philadelphia .
