Giants reportedly releasing WR Odell Beckham Jr. 3 games into his reunion with team

The Giants are releasing the 33-year-old Beckham, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday . Beckham, who became NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and a three-time Pro Bowler during his first stint in New York , couldn't conjure that form in his late-career homecoming. Although he earned a spot on the 53-man roster this summer and then reclaimed his fabled No. 13 jersey , he didn't make a noticeable on-field impact in his three regular-season games.

In that span, he was targeted once and didn't log a single catch. Beckham scattered 20 offensive snaps along the way, with just six of those coming this past Sunday in a 12-7 win over the Tennessee Titans , according to Pro Football Focus.

Also on Tuesday, the Giants signed Braxton Berrios to their active roster, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
