'I've Been Waiting For This For A Long Time': Sasha Barkov Ready For First NHL Action In 15 Months

Now, exactly 469 days later, Barkov is ready to resume his potential Hall of Fame career with a reconstructed right knee and a new fire in his belly after sitting out a full NHL season that came directly on the heels of consecutive championships.

"I'm obviously very excited to play meaningful games," Barkov said Monday. "I've been waiting for this for a long time."

Barkov missed all of last season after tearing his ACL and MCL during what was his first on-ice workout of training camp last September.
