Aaron Judge reportedly left off Yankees' wild-card roster for series vs. Red Sox

His status for the wild-card round had been in question since the Yankees placed him on the injured list due to a calf strain on Sept. 18. On Sept. 22, manager Aaron Boone announced that the Yankees were planning to play without Judge in the wild-card round.

The injury list placement was Judge's second of the season after a stress fracture in one of his upper ribs sidelined him for three months. He struggled in his return, as he went 4-for-23 at the plate before the calf injury sidelined him for a second time.

But Judge rebutted Boone's comments a day later, telling ESPN that he was preparing to play in the wild-card round.
