Ciryl Gane was promoted to UFC heavyweight championship status this month after Tom Aspinall was forced to vacate the title due to an ongoing injury concern.

The 36-year-old Frenchman, who was the former interim heavyweight champion, will now make his first UFC title defense against Josh Hokit at UFC 334 in November.
