Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto among 8 Dodgers nominees for All-MLB teams

Fan voting for the honor will take place beginning Monday through Friday, October 9, with that fan vote counted alongside "a decorated panel of media members, broadcasters, former players and other officials throughout the game" in determining first and second All-MLB teams.

Shohei Ohtani is one of six nominees at designated hitter, Mookie Betts is one of 11 shortstop nominees, and Freddie Freeman one of 14 nominees at first base. All five have captured All-MLB honors in five previous years, with Ohtani collecting first-team All-MLB honors at DH in each of the last three years and four of the last five, plus second-team DH in 2022, to go with his two first-team All-MLB honors (2022-23) and one second-team All-MLB honors (2021) as a starting pitcher.

Betts is a four-time first-team All-MLB outfielder plus a second-team honor in 2019. Freeman has two first-team honors at first base, the last coming in 2023, and three second-team honors.
