Minnesota Wild Unveil Opening Night 2026-27 NHL Roster

Not featured on the roster are Filip Gustavsson and Brock Faber , both of whom will start the season on the injured reserve. Gustavsson is still recovering from off-season surgery, while Faber picked up an upper-body injury in a pre-season game.

Taking Gustavsson's roster spot is Calvin Pickard , whom the Wild acquired in the off-season on a one-year, $1 million contract.

Also making the opening-night roster are Charlie Stramel and David Spacek, both of whom competed for roster spots. Stramel beat out several other Wild prospects, while Spacek impressed the Wild coaching staff more than Carson Lambos , who cleared waivers and has joined the Iowa Wild in the AHL.
