Alex Pereira made the climb to heavyweight after he vacated the light heavyweight championship and made his debut in the weight class at UFC Freedom 250 in June.

The 39-year-old Brazilian MMA star challenged for the interim UFC heavyweight title and Pereira fell short to Ciryl Gane at the White House in their co-headline fight.
