Rapoport: Commanders QB Jayden Daniels back ‘within three weeks’

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport provided more of a timeline for a return to play on Sunday morning. He said that Daniels is expect back "within three weeks."

Backup Marcus Mariota was declared the starter for Sunday's home opener versus Seattle right after Daniels' Week 2 injury. The Commanders travel to London for a Week 4 contest with Indianapolis on Tuesday, which would be a quick turnaround, though Rapoport's reported timeline could earmark that Week 5 contest against the New York Giants at Northwest Stadium.

Daniels will be wearing a left arm brace from now on, which should allow him to play without much time missed. Surgery remains a reported possibility after the season.
