Dodgers notes: Blake Snell, Shohei Ohtani, Roki Sasaki, Tanner Scott

On the penultimate game of the season, Blake Snell wrapped up his final tune-up on Saturday, tossing four shutout innings while striking out three and not allowing a walk in the Dodgers' 4-3 win over the Giants. It was Snell's first start since exiting early against the Cincinnati Reds on September 16, but Saturday proved that Snell is ready for October, with added extra time being a an added bonus for the left-hander.

There were some issues that only limited Snell to less than half of Saturday's contest, but he is looking forward to at least a week's worth of rest to perfect his craft heading into October, per Sonja Chen of MLB.com .

"Really encouraged by it, and just happy to get my legs underneath and get going and completely move past the groin," Snell said. "I mean, it felt great today, and the velo was good. And was inconsistent — I've got to figure my body out a little more, but I got a week to do so, and I'm really looking forward to that."
