UConn football falls short at Miami in Ohio, 24-21

Quarterback Kalieb Osborne completed 17 of 32 (53.1%) passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns, adding 88 yards and a score on the ground. He started off strong, but UConn's total yardage declined in each successive quarter. Miami's offense picked up across the game until starting QB David McComb left the game in the fourth quarter.

On the game's first drive, Osborne hit Ryder Treadway for 24-yard pass on the very first play. Javon Brown caught a 20-yard pass on 3rd & 15 after a holding penalty sent them back. He caught his second reception in the end zone from eight yards out to make it 7-0.

After a quick three-and-out, UConn received the ball at their 16-yard line. Another Brown reception got them to midfield and, on fourth-and-1 from Miami's 38-yard line, Osborne faked a hand-off and ran outside with a clear path to the end zone, making it 14-0 in the middle of the opening frame.
