Stephen Curry staying in Bay Area: He, Warriors agree to two-year, $116 million extension

Stephen Curry has consistently said he doesn't want to play for any other franchise than the Golden State Warriors . Friday night he signed on the bottom line to make that happen.

Curry and the Warriors have agreed to a two-year, $116 million contract extension, which the Warriors announced, with ESPN's Shams Charania providing the financial details .

The extension kicks in for the 2027-28 season and includes a player option in the second year. If he plays both years of the contract, it will take Curry through his 20th season in the NBA and age 41.
