Phillies' Luis Arraez leaves game with sprained ankle as postseason approaches

Second baseman Luis Arraez suffered a sprained left ankle during the sixth inning of the Phillies' matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday night.

Arraez was attempting to run out a groundball to shortstop, but Cooper Pratt's throw to first was high and wide. Milwaukee's Jake Bauers jumped to catch the throw, and Arraez moved to his right to elude the tag. However, while diving forward to touch the bag, he appeared to turn his ankle as the front of his foot caught in the dirt.

Adding proverbial insult to injury, Arraez was called out on the play for running out of the baseline to dodge Bauers' tag.
