49ers WR Demarcus Robinson will be sidelined with high ankle sprain

Wide receiver Demarcus Robinson suffered a lower leg injury in the 49ers ' win Sunday, Sept. 20, leaving the game with 6:46 left in the second quarter. He didn't return to the game.

Robinson was carted off the field against the Dolphins after catching a 20-yard pass from quarterback Brock Purdy , who found a streaking Robinson wide open and delivered a 20-yard dart. Robinson caught the pass and went to the turf as he lost his footing trying to flip back up. He tweaked his ankle as he got up and attempted to continue running.

Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Monday that Robinson suffered a high ankle sprain and would be out for the next three to six weeks, likely landing him on the team's injured reserved list.
