Infantino proposes external review of Fifa governance

Sports editor Published 7 minutes ago Fifa president Gianni Infantino has proposed an external review of the governance of world football's governing body and says he is open to reform.

In a letter sent to Fifa council members, seen by BBC Sport and circulated to all of Fifa's member associations, Infantino tabled two reforms to be put to a meeting of the council next month.

As well as asking members if they wanted an external review, Infantino also suggested a "consultation period" where reforms could be discussed.
