Marcus Mariota TD pass for Commanders ruled incomplete, despite replay appearing to show catch should have counted

On second-and-9 from the Dallas 29-yard line, Mariota connected with Dyami Brown along the left sideline for what appeared to be a touchdown as the receiver fell out of bounds. Yet the play was ruled incomplete by the officials on the field.

Replay showed that Brown got his left foot down just before the goal line and his left knee landed in bounds as he rolled out of the end zone.

After reviewing the play, replay officials upheld the incomplete pass call made on the field despite enough visual evidence being provided to give Brown the catch and the Commanders a touchdown.
