49ers WR Demarcus Robinson carted off after suffering ankle injury early in matchup vs. Dolphins

The 49ers lost wideout Demarcus Robinson in the first half of their matchup with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. Robinson went down with an apparent ankle injury after making a grab midway through the second quarter. Robinson managed to haul in the low ball for a 20-yard grab right in the middle of the field, but he came up hopping, clearly in significant pain, after rolling his ankle untouched.

Robinson made it to the sidelines on his own, but he was carted off the field. The 49ers initially said he was questionable to return, but then ruled him out just after halftime.

Robinson had a team-high 35 yards on three catches when he went down. Quarterback Brock Purdy scrambled for a 2-yard touchdown just two plays later, which put them up 14-3 at the time.
