Young Hurricanes To Face Veteran Panthers Squad In Preseason Opener

The Hurricanes will primarily be icing a roster comprised of prospects and AHL players while the Panthers meanwhile will be playing almost their entire NHL roster.

"It'll be a huge challenge for us, obviously," said Carolina coach Rod Brind'Amour. "But it's also an opportunity for guys because if they can show in a game like that, they can show in any type of game."

The game will take place at Amerant Bank Arena in Florida, with puck drop set for 7 p.m.
