Curry appeared on CNBC this week to promote his new deal with Chinese sneaker manufacturer Li-Ning and his signature shoe coming out next year, but for hoop fans, that wasn't the most interesting part of the conversation. Curry said that yes, he reached out to LeBron and recruited him.

"If anybody didn't [try to recruit him], I think they'd be a fool. It was a good time for the NBA — obviously with a guy of his stature, his notoriety, to be in that position where he got to choose where he wanted to go."
