The retired Brazilian MMA veteran made history in 2021, when he became the oldest first-time champion in UFC history by submitting Jan Blachowicz.

After achieving light heavyweight championship glory at the age of 42, he fought two more times before calling it quits, with Teixeira’s brutal loss to Jamahal Hill in January 2023 marking the final chapter in his career.
