Mets' Juan Soto motivated to return from IL by team's recent success: 'It feels really cool'

However, Soto always maintained that he would return this season to finish the year strong and in his first game back he had an RBI single that broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning as the Mets beat the Houston Astros, 6-2.

"Feels good to be back," Soto said after the game. "It's just a great feeling to be a part of the team and part of the game. Trying to help the team as much as you can out there, it feels really cool."

The win ended a three-game losing streak for New York, but before that the Mets had won seven of their last 10 games as part of a 14-10 record in August where they've looked much better.
