Steelers trade Broderick Jones to Cowboys

The Steelers have traded Jones to the Cowboys, according to multiple reports. There is no immediate word on the compensation that will go back to Pittsburgh.

The Steelers took Jones out of Georgia with the 14th overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft and he has started 38 games through his first three NFL seasons. But last year he suffered a season-ending neck injury in Week 12, and there have been reports out of training camp this year that, even though he's medically cleared, he looks like he has lost strength.

Jones is in the fourth and final season of his four-year rookie contract. He is scheduled to make $1.5 million this season, and he'll hit free agency in 2027.
