The Yankees have signed outfielder Jarred Kelenic to a minor-league deal, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports . He will report to the team's Triple-A affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the team announced Saturday.
Kelenic, 27, was designated for assignment by the Texas Rangers last week. He compiled a .373/.447/.655 with their Triple-A affiliate and slashed .200/.333/.200 in 17 games with the major-league team.
Additionally, Kelenic spent time with the Chicago White Sox this season. He had a .202/.346/.464 slash line with their Triple-A club and hit .226 with a .626 OPS in 19 big-league games.
