Broncos WR/KR Marvin Mims Jr. is going to be fine and is dealing with a bruised foot

This raised concerns about the Broncos' playmaking receiver/returner, but after the game, Head Coach Sean Payton gave a positive update on Mims' health. He told reporters that "Mims is going to be fine" and that he is simply dealing with a bruise.

Mims, who started out camp hot and was making plays early on, suffered what was called a "soft tissue injury," and it sidelined him for the majority of training camp and, outside of a few snaps last night, the vast majority of the preseason. Now, he is dealing with a bruised foot, but thankfully, according to Payton, it seems like a minor injury.

The good news for Mims and the Broncos is that they do not play their next game until September 14th, when they head to Arrowhead on Monday Night to take on the returning Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. This gives Mims plenty of time to heal up and be ready for the Broncos' big opening-night matchup vs. their divisional rivals on the road.
