Angel Reese records 28th double-double, ties Alyssa Thomas for most in WNBA single-season history

Through two quarters and change, Reese has put up 10 points and 10 boards in front of her home crowd, four days after she set the W's single-game and single-season rebounding records in Los Angeles with a 26-board performance during a victory over the Sparks .

The 24-year-old three-time All-Star has elevated her game in her first season with the Dream, who acquired the LSU product in a trade with the Chicago Sky this spring . She's averaging north of 16 points per game, and she entered Friday with a league-high 12.4 rebounds per game.

Thomas, a six-time All-Star, logged her 28 double-doubles in 2023 with the Connecticut Sun. Along the way, she piled up double-digit points and assists 11 times. Six of those outings featured triple-doubles (no other WNBA player has more than five triple-doubles all-time, and Thomas has 22 and counting for her career ).
