Going Beyond the Game for WNBA All-Star 2027

For former athlete and Bay Area resident Shamekka Marty, the announcement that the Golden State Valkyries will host WNBA All-Star 2027 in San Francisco means more than another major sporting event coming to her city.

It's an opportunity to bring her mission of athlete wellness directly into the weeklong celebration.

Marty is the CEO of Beyond the Game Health . Because of ailments she's dealt with and is currently dealing with, her goal is to educate athletes from all over on how to advocate for themselves, make them aware of various aspects of their health and provide an outlet for them to grow in and outside of their sport.
