Your Georgia Bulldogs earning 56% of the votes to take home the SEC title also isn't that surprising. If anything the margin of votes is perhaps an eye-opener.
But perhaps what surprised me most from this was that Steve Sarkisian's Texas Longhorns secured only 7% of votes to win the conference. While media members also picked the Bulldogs to win the conference back at Media Days, the Burnt Orange were a pretty close second.
Personally I think fans may be shortchanging the Horns. While I'm not sure Arch Manning is ever going to be a Heisman-winning quarterback, the supporting cast around him is about as impressive as any in the sport. I'd add that if the Texans don't at least make a run into the College Football Playoff, things could get sticky for Sark quicker than anyone expected.
