Dolphins roster predictions: 53-man projection before Falcons preseason game

Before last week's loss to the New York Giants, I posted my first projection for the Dolphins' 2026 53-man roster. A week later, it is time to update. I will be back on Sunday with my final projection with any changes after tonight's game.

This seems pretty straightforward now. Unless Ewers reaggravates his injury or Miller absolutely balls out tonight, there should not be a change to the quarterback plan.

Miami traded for Hunter on Thursday, a day after signing Bennett. They are clearly looking for additional depth at running back. Hunter could prove to simply be a body for Friday's game, but the trade and the signing could signal concern that Gordon's rib injury might slow him for a little while. Adding Hunter gives the team some flexibility at the position.
