Skylar Wicks Decommits From Gonzaga, Opens Up Another Roster Spot

Saint Francis Red Wolves transfer Skylar Wicks has decommitted from the program and reopened his recruitment, according to his agent Richie Felder. The hybrid wing committed to the Zags originally in June and was granted a waiver from the NCAA for an additional year of college basketball eligibility in August, stemming from his 2024-25 season with the UTSA Roadrunners.

The 26-year-old journeyman was going to have a tough time breaking into coach Mark Few's rotation after Florida Gators lead guard Xaivian Lee transferred to Gonzaga just 24 hours before Wicks made his unsurprising announcement.

This subtraction from the 2026-27 roster technically brings it to 14 of the 15 spots filled, but it's far from being officially complete.
