Tyson Fury Has Replacements Ready If Joshua Fight Fails

“We’ve got a couple of replacements, but I don’t think, personally, if I was to call it, I don’t think that’ll happen. I think it’ll all get itself sorted out,” Brown said to Boxing King Media. “Tyson’s going to fight in November, [against] Anthony Joshua or the Jolly Green Giant. He’s going to fight.”

Shane Fury previously claimed Fury would remain at Madison Square Garden on the same date with a replacement if Joshua declined to fight in the United States. Brown was asked about that statement but stopped short of confirming that New York would keep the event without Joshua.

Fury’s camp is publicly presenting New York as a plan that can continue without him, but Brown still expects the original fight to be completed. Until Netflix confirms its involvement with another opponent, the alternatives provide Fury’s team with negotiating leverage more than certainty.
