The biggest news of the week — so far, at least — occurred Monday, when the Cleveland Browns officially named Deshaun Watson as their starting quarterback for 2026 over Shedeur Sanders .

Watson is now in line to make his first regular-season start since 2024, when he suffered a torn Achilles, which he later re-tore. He finished that season with a 1-6 record as the starter, throwing for 1,148 yards, 5 touchdowns and 3 interceptions before the injury. Sanders, now entering his second NFL season, will serve as his backup.
