Report: Former Penguins Forward Expected to Sign PTO With Flames

According to PuckPedia, the Flames are expected to sign forward Alex Nylander to a professional tryout (PTO) agreement.

Nylander spent this past season with the Toronto Marlies. In 65 games with the AHL club, the former Penguins forward posted 24 goals, 29 assists, and 53 points. He also appeared in 24 playoff games for the Marlies during their Calder Cup championship run, recording six goals and seven points.

Nylander last played at the NHL level during the 2024-25 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs , where he recorded zero points and four penalty minutes.
